On the afternoon of February 8, Huang Jinchi, member of the Standing Committee and director of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Huangpu District Committee, attended the symposium with representatives of Taiwanese businessmen at Guangzhou Pacific Tinplate Co., Ltd. (PATIN). They also provided their opinions and suggestions for the next-step work concerning business and trade with Taiwan parties. The introduction of the representatives shows that, since last year, the Taiwan-funded enterprises in Huangpu District have been maintaining a stable development trend. However, there are still some Taiwan-funded enterprises facing the problems caused by increased cost of raw materials and lack of land for development under the circumstance with economic downturn.
Huang Jinchi extended his greetings to the representatives. He highly appreciated the Taiwan-funded enterprises in Huangpu District for their great contributions to the economic and social development of Huangpu District and Guangzhou Development District and conveyed the spirit of the speech of Secretary Zhou Yawei at the Cadres’ Meeting of Huangpu District to encourage the enterprises to proceed with confidence and keep up their enthusiasm to make more splendid achievements. He also said that the CPC Huangpu District Committee and the district government will continue to support the development of the Taiwan-funded enterprises, substantially protect the legal rights and interests of these enterprises and expand channels to improve the platforms for communication between government and enterprises to further support and promote the development of the real economy.
